The Chesterfield Historical Society will meet on Thur. Dec. 18 at the Chesterfield Congregational Church. There will be a prime rib supper at 6:30pm at $10, reservations only by Sat. Dec. 13th at 296-4333. The program at 7:30 will be a Yankee Swap, each person to bring a wrapped $10 value gift.

Game Nights at the Library
The Chesterfield Library will be holding Game Nights at 7 p.m. on the 2nd and 4th Fridays of each month: October 10 and 24; November 14 and 28; and December 12. All are welcome to play Pitch, cribbage, Scrabble, or other table games.

Visit the Chesterfield Gorge Chesterfield Gorge was initially carved from metamorphic bedrock by the torrents of glacial meltwater; the gorge continues to be shaped by the East Branch of the Westfield River. The surrounding transitional hardwood forest features oak, pine, and hemlock, and is home to bears, bobcats, and turkeys. Visitors may enjoy a half-mile trail along cliff tops that offer views of the gorge, the river, and the surrounding forest.
