Hilltown Community Development Corporation

Hilltown CDC is a membership-based nonprofit corporation serving the community development needs of many Hilltown communities including Ashfield, Chester, Chesterfield, Cummington, Goshen, Huntington, Plainfield, Westhampton, Williamsburg and Worthington. The corporation secures grants and loans to help Hilltown communities build and renovate public buildings and affordable housing. We offer consulting and technical assistance to small businesses to promote economic development and operate Homebuyer Training and Housing rehabilitation and Social Service programs that help first-time buyers purchase homes; our Housing Rehab program provides zero-percent interest-deferred loans to income-eligible homeowners for home repairs. Among programs we offer or support are in-home chore services and escorted transportation for low income Northern Hilltown elders, specialized in-home nursing care to home-bound elders and a Families Together program to provide parenting education and training programs to area families. We also assist the the Hilltown Food Pantry in Goshen to provide food to eligible individuals and families. The CDC is evaluating the possibilities for senior housing in Chesterfield and is exploring interest in developing a regional senior center. We are also supporting regional efforts to bring high speed broadband internet services to our unserved and under-served communities.
