What a Celebration!
A great time was had by all at Chesterfield's 61st annual Independence Day Celebration.  After a delicious pancake breakfast provided by Chesterfield's Fire Department, people enjoyed the Historical Society's “Discover Chesterfield Past & Present" display at town hall, the quilt display at the Church and the Library open house.  Then, the Parade went off without a hitch, with lots of floats, music, clowns, and animals to entertain viewers of all ages.  Thank you to all the organizers and volunteers who helped make the day possible and keep our Town's great tradition going strong.

Chesterfield Building Committee Adopts Mission Statement
The mission of the Chesterfield Building Committee is to lead the collaborative planning, design and building of Chesterfield’s Town Office, Emergency Complex and Highway Department in a thoughtful and prudent manner.

To accomplish this, we will strive to:

  • Maintain rural character of the town through our design and planning
  • Be fiscally responsible in both the short and the long term
  • Promote green and sustainable building practices
  • Seek creative and alternative funding methods and
  • Be transparent in all affairs and decision-making.

As leaders in this effort, we will investigate all possibilities, options, and courses of action, hold public hearings to get feedback from the community, and use that input to modify our final recommendations to town meeting.

Committee and subcommittee meetings are generally held at the Davenport Building and are open to the public. Questions about the groups' work can be directed to the Town Administrator, Charlene Nardi, at 296-4771.
