Early Voting in 2020

Election day is Tuesday, November 3rd.  Early Voting in person for the November election will take place again at the Chesterfield Town Office Building on the following dates:

  • Saturday, Oct. 17 from 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. at Town Office Bldg., 422 Main Road
  • Sunday, Oct. 18 from 1 p.m. – 3 p.m. at Town Office Bldg., 422 Main Road
  • Monday, Oct. 19 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Town Office Bldg., 422 Main Rd. 
  • Saturday, Oct. 24 from 1 p.m. – 4 p.m. at Town Office Bldg., 422 Main Road
  • Sunday, Oct. 25 from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. at Town Office Bldg., 422 Main Road
  • Monday, Oct. 26 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Town Office Bldg., 422 Main Rd. 
  • Wednesday, Oct. 28 from 3 p.m. – 5 p.m. at Town Office Bldg., 422 Main Road


Voters still have the option of voting in person on election day, November 3rd, from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the Chesterfield Community Center located at 400 Main Road. 

Voters will be required to wear masks, use hand sanitizer, and maintain social distancing while voting.  No material supporting any candidates or questions may be worn by voters during the voting process and no one is allowed to campaign or have posters or signs within 150 feet of the building. 

The last day to register to vote for the November 3rd election is Saturday, Oct. 24.  Voter registration will be held that day at the Town Offices from 2 p.m. - 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. – 8 p.m.

Vote by mail applications are due by 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 28th.  You can apply through the State's online portal at www.sec.state.ma.us/VoterRegistrationSearch/preface.aspx.

All mail in ballots must be received before 8:00 election day.  The mail in ballots cannot be delivered to the polls on election day.  They must be delivered to the Town Office Building and placed in the drop box on the back of the building.  We strongly suggest that you use the drop box at the Town Office to return your mail in ballots.  Please return them early to avoid delivery problems.
