Halloween 2020

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, house-to-house trick or treating is discouraged.  The Recreation Committee has planned a fun socially distanced celebration in its place.  Please see the attached flyer below for full details.

Families have been asked to carve pumpkins and drop them off at New Hingham School on October 18th between 4 and 6 p.m. (see flyer attache below for protocol).

A Rag Shag Parade will take place on Saturday, October 24th at 4 p.m. starting at the Town Offices and ending at the old Town Hall where candy can be collected.  After the Parade, people will depart in their own vehicles to the bridge over the Westfield River on Route 143 in West Chesterfield.  The Recreation Committee will be decorating the bridge and perhaps rocks in the river with the jack-o'-lanterns carved by residents, reviving an old event.  They will be glowing for all to admire that evening.
