Disclosure Period for Certification of FY19 Values

Dear Property Owner:

The Town of Chesterfield Board of Assessors has completed the statutory Re-Certification of values for Fiscal 2019.  The proposed values have received Preliminary Certification by the Massachusetts Department of Revenue.  This public disclosure is part of the Revaluation and Re-Certification of values that is required by law every five years.

Values were calculated at “Full and Fair Cash Value” using sales data between 1/1/2016 and 12/31/2017.  The valuation date for fiscal 2019 is January 1, 2018. The Revaluation resulted in small increases in value.  One to three percent for most properties.

The Assessors completed the revaluation project with the assistance of Consultants from pk Valuation Group of South Hadley, Massachusetts.

To view the proposed values please follow this link:  http://www.assessedvalues2.com/index.aspx?jurcode=60

Sincerely,

The Chesterfield Board of Assessors

Transition to new Outreach Company - CodeRED

Chesterfield will be switching from Blackboard Connect to CodeRED as the Town's outreach service company. CodeRED is an emergency notification service provided to all residents within The Town of Chesterfield that will notify you of emergency information through phone calls, text messages, emails, social media and the CodeRED Mobile Alert app. The system will be used to keep you informed of local events that may immediately impact your safety. As a local resident, The Town of Chesterfield encourages you to take action and register your cell phone for this service and verify your home location during the enrollment process so we may target notifications that directly impact your home or business.

A CodeRED link to verify or update your contact information can be found at the top of the column on the right of this page.

The system will be tested with a Blackboard Connect message going out to residents on Thursday, October 20th at 6:30 PM informing them that a CodeRed call will go out 30 minutes later at 7:00 PM. If you do not receive the CodeRED call, please either update/add your information using the CodeRED link on this page or call the Town Administrator at 296-4771 ext. 1# and request that you be added to the CodeRED database.

CodeRED test call to go out on Thursday, October 20, 2016 at 7:00 PM.
